I came to Pan Am Place when I was living in a youth shelter at the age of 17. I was barely making a living with no supports while trying to complete high school. Now I’m 19 years old I did a lot thanks to the supports at Pan Am Place, I graduated high school as valedictorian of my class, won a Manitoba aboriginal youth achievement award, lost 70lbs, and traveled across the country.
I am thankful for the friends that I made and proud to see what it is doing for the community by helping at risk youth discover their true potential. But I am most proud to call Pan am place my home.
